Brian is a picture book writer who prefers crafting quirky, humorous stories for older picture book readers. His first book sheds some light on why the Headless Horseman used a pumpkin for a head and is about to go out on submission.

Three Things to Know about Brian:
- He loves donuts and despises peas (they’re a vile weed).
- He has produced two feature films, 1 super bowl commercial, and a music video for U2 (among other things).
- Mel Brooks, the only celebrity that could make him freak out like a fan-girl at a Justin Bieber concert, once told him that his wife was a keeper. Bonus points for her.

Five Books Brian Loves:
1.) How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. Excellent rhymes, imaginative characters, and a super creative core.
2.) Secret Pizza Party by Adam Rubin and Daniel Salmieri. The author’s voice is hilarious and unique.
3.) Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Louis Sachar. The dark, irreverent, and twisted humor gives me comfort that I’m not the only one who thinks this way.
4.) The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. Extremely jealous of the way Irving can paint a vivid picture with his colorful and descriptive writing.
5.) Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. It shows how artfully written, honest stories can take you places.
