Brandon Marie Miller writes award-winning history for kids and teens. Her most recent titles, all from Chicago Review Press, include two YA books, Women of Colonial America, 13 Stories of Courage and Survival in the New World (2016), and Women of the Frontier, 16 Tales of Trailblazing Homesteaders, Entrepreneurs and Rabble-Rousers (2013). Books for middle grade include, Thomas Jefferson for Kids, His Life and Times (2011), Benjamin Franklin, American Genius (2009) and George Washington for Kids, His Life and Times (2007).

Three things you probably don't know about Brandon:
  • Her favorite books to read are murder mysteries.
  • She loves old movies from the 1930s and 1940s, especially swashbucklers, screwball comedies and musicals.
  • In her long ago youth, she rode dressage and had a white horse named Gin Fizz, who often looked less than white from rolling in dirt.
